It's very important to start small.
You started small. When you were conceived, you were small.
Over time, you grew.
We must start small.
If we try and begin too big, we will fall.
Imagine a huge baby. Not like 15 pounds. Like 200 pounds.
Not like 2 feet tall. Like 200 feet tall.
That's dangerous.
When you begin something it is an infant.
It is a baby.
If it is given responsibility that it can't handle it is going to cause pain.
Pain to itself and to others.
So start small.
Pride wants to start big.
Start small.
If you start small, you can move up.
If you start big, you have to back off, but that hurts.
So start small.
Ask yourself, what am I trying to do?
If you don't have an answer, you need to back off.
Maybe you need to back off so much that your answer is, "To breathe".
Okay, once you are breathing, then ask, "What am I trying to do?"
At some point it's going to involve other people.
It shouldn't involve many people.
It should be small.
Like, "Help one person".
Okay, so you're breathing and now you're going to help one person.
Great.
Once you've helped one person, what next?
Can you help two people?
Great! Help two people.
How many people can you help before it starts to hurt?
5? 15? 20? 100?
At some point you can't help one more person.
At some point, you helping people starts to hurt you.
And at some point, your efforts to help people will actually hurt them.
So what are you trying to do?
Start small.
Start with "Breathing".
There are probably a few things in between that and helping one person.
Find yourself, then help others.
This Reminds me of a movie that came on earlier this week
ReplyDeleteMonsters Vs Aliens (pretty witty movie by the way)
There is a monster in that movie who they call INSECTOSAURUS
Basically what makes him so dangerous is he is a giant insect baby. Doesn't seem so harmful right?
But because he is so huge one false move and a building gets crushed. One sneeze and a tidal wave of slime is release upon its victims below.
So I guess you make a good point. Lets not make big babies.
Death to Pride!
Lets be Good Dads! There are already to many Giant Babies walking around.
